Byron Bay Bluesfest, 2019 Artists

Anchor Chief

It’s that time of year again. Oh yes, we are talking about the annual Byron Bay Bluesfest. Bluesfest is taking place Easter weekend and is approaching quick. In one long weekend, attendees are able to soak up the sun along with over 200 performances, surely enough memories and video footy to last until next year.

Bluesfest has come along way since it was first established in 1990! This year they are celebrating their 30th birthday. The years come and go but the quality of music has always been totally rad. In order to get you as hyped as we are about this, let us introduce you to a handful of these talented 2019 Byron Bay Bluesfest artists!

Jack Johnson

Jack Johnson, a Hawaii Native, first played at Bluesfest back in 2001 and most recently in 2014! Ever since we have been sitting, waiting and wishing for his return (If you got that song reference you have passed the test and are a true fan). Well, turns out dreams do come true. Jack is back and will be performing on Sunday, April 21st!

Jack is an amazing family man, musician, environmentalist and surfer! All things Anchor Chief can get behind. Jack Johnson has the ability to create beautiful music and lyrics that you just can’t help but sing along to and feel good while doing it. He has released 7 studio albums and 2 live albums, selling over 25 million copies worldwide. Come ready to jam with Jack this year!

Iggy Pop

Iggy Pop A.K.A. the godfather of punk. Iggy Pop is wildly entertaining and talented. Acknowledged as one of the most dynamic stage performers, he is for sure a must see. Playing on Friday, April 19th. Put this performance on your Bluesfest bucket list and get ready for your mind to be blown!
